Come all ye comic book collectors, RPG'ers, bike-tivists, computer nerds, crafty folk, cinema buffs, bookworms, mad scientists, manga fanatics and all of your manifold ilk. Montreal is a fine city with a growing geek community and Geek Montreal endeavours to provide it with a venue for the fruitful multiplication of all things geeky. As an online community, Geek Montreal features an events calendar, a listing of interest-specific resources and a bulletin board. As a physical community, Geek Montreal is a variety of projects, initiatives and relationships spearheaded by various folks.

Geek OUT!

Geek OUT!s are a fun, free celebration of the things that make us geeks. For an afternoon, you get to play board games, hear presentations of local projects, do arts and crafts, eat snacks and laugh in the company of other geeks. The next Geek OUT! is happening on Saturday October 22nd at Burritoville, 2055-B Bishop Street, Montreal (between Sherbrooke and De Maisonneuve) and will go from 2:00pm onwards.

Dwarf Fortress! Workshop

This workshop, to be held at Foulab, 999 Du College #33B on Sunday October 16th from 1-5pm is for people who have some basic, rudimentary experience with Dwarf Fortress. None of us are experts and we're hoping that by bringing a bunch of people together, we can compare and contrast experiences and get better as a result.
